This resort has one of the best beaches in this part of the Costa Brava. Estartit town centre with its range of shops and central square provides a pleasant ambience for a wander through this quaint seaside location. The marina offers boat trips out the to the famous Medes Isles and diving trips can be seen leaving the harbour at all times of the day. Its long promenade takes you all the way from the port along to El Griells on the outskirts of Estartit, with views along the beach toward Pals and Begur in the distance. The town has an entertainment park with funfair rides perfect for the children and a number of play parks along the seafront. Throughout the summer season a range of activities are arranged by the town council including music festivals and children's entertainment. The town also has a large sailing school providing courses through the summer months. A number of lovely walks are available up in to the hills around Rocamaura, winding round the coastline and towards Torre Vella and Torre Gran. Estartit is a great choice for families, groups and couples looking for good value beach holiday rentals set in complexes just a few minutes walk from the sea.
